#LoveYourTeeth (MN Oral Health Coalition)
Otter Tail County, MN – February is Children’s Dental Health Month, and dental professionals across Minnesota encourage families to #LoveYourTeeth!
Oral health is an essential part of overall health and well-being, beginning at a young age. The Minnesota Oral Health Coalition says scheduling a dentist visit by your child’s first birthday and avoiding bedtime bottles to prevent tooth decay are two ways to keep little smiles healthy.
Affordable dental care is available. Minnesota Health Care Programs (MHCP) offer low or no-cost dental insurance for eligible families. To find a provider and learn more about child and teen checkup outreach, visit the Otter Tail County website and click “Provider Information-Dental Services.”
On February 7th, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., free preventative dental services will be available for kids ages 3 to 18 at the Mayme Green Health Center in Wahpeton.
