Fergus Falls, MN – The Fergus Falls City Council has set the admission rates for the new Fergus Falls Aquatic Center.
At Monday night’s City Council Meeting (March 17th), the Council discussed the Parks and Recreation Board’s recommended rates for the new facility. The board recommended that for daily admission, children under the age of 2 would get in for free, seniors 65 and older would pay $7.20, and everyone in-between would be charged $8. It also recommended rates for a punch card and season passes. The 10 Punch Pass will be set for $70, while a single season pass will start at $100, with an extra $35 charged for additional passholders. For example, a family of four would be charged $205 for the season.
Public Works Director Len Taylor spoke to how those rates were decided, saying, “We looked at 14 other cities around the state and the region and we set the rates based on those, taking into consideration that our facility is brand new and thinking that was a fair and affordable rate for our citizens.”
Having set the rates for 2025, the Council is now looking at its options for naming-right deals, allowing businesses to sponsor different aspects of the Aquatic Center and help offset costs to the City and keep rates affordable.
Taylor says the Fergus Falls Aquatic Center is on track to open on June 2nd, 2025.
