UPDATE: Officials saying woman was running from law enforcement when the crash occurred.
Fergus Falls, MN – One woman is dead after crashing with a semi on I-94 in Fergus Falls.
State troopers say that just before 8 o’clock Monday evening, an SUV driven by a 32-year-old woman from Saint Francis rear-ended a semi-truck near mile marker 56 by the Fergus Falls Landfill, killing her. Troopers say the road was wet at the time of the crash. The semi driver was not hurt.
The identity of the victim is expected to be released this afternoon.
The State Patrol was assisted by the Fergus Falls Police and Fire Departments, and the Otter Tail, Grant, and Clay County Sheriff’s Departments.
