Fergus Falls, MN – New details have been released about the fatal semi crash in Fergus Falls on Monday night that say the victim was running from law enforcement prior to the accident.
Clay County Sheriff Mark Empting says 32-year-old Jessica Sarah Vaux of Saint Francis ran from law enforcement officers attempting a traffic stop in Grant County. During the pursuit on I-94, Vaux’s SUV rear-ended a semi-truck, and she was killed as a result. The semi driver from Saint Cloud was not injured.
State troopers previously reported that the road was wet at the time of the accident, and now say it is unknown if alcohol was involved.
Empting says the Clay County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash.
