Fergus Falls, MN – A Fargo man has been convicted for messaging a teen in Otter Tail County in a sexual manner.
43-year-old Joshua Jerome Klimek has been found guilty of two counts of soliciting a 14-year-old girl to engage in sexual conduct through Facebook Messenger. Otter Tail County prosecutors say that in December 2023, Klimek sent explicit videos of himself to the victim, and when she messaged back saying she was 14, he continued to message her and pushed her to accept his friend request.
The messages submitted in the criminal complaint suggest that Klimek had briefly met the victim and knew who she was before messaging her.
On Monday, Klimek was sentenced to 45 days in the Otter Tail County Detention Facility and 5 years probation.
