St. Paul, MN – On Wednesday, June 18th, the Minnesota State Board of Trustees approved the largest tuition increase in nearly two decades, with increases ranging from 4% to 8% across the 33 schools. The 8-5 vote came after the Board of Trustees outlined “tremendous uncertainty” facing higher education in Minnesota.
The Minnesota State systems consists of 26 colleges and 7 universities with 54 campuses throughout the state, including M State and its 4 campuses.
The increases are for the upcoming fiscal year 2026, which is effective immediately.
