Battle Lake, MN – The owner of Stella’s Restaurant & Bar in Battle Lake has started a GoFundMe campaign to “Save Stella’s.”
Ryan Carlson says in the fundraiser’s description, “Since 2019, Stella’s has created jobs, hosted nationally touring musicians and comedians, and become a space where the people of our region come to feel alive—over a meal, a memory, or a song. But we’ve hit a wall. Despite strong sales and a beloved brand, the fire in 2019, the pandemic, and delayed government relief forced us into survival mode. We relied on predatory financing to stay afloat, and now the business is constrained—not by a lack of potential, but by debt and structural barriers.”
Last year, Stella’s opened a second location in downtown Fergus Falls. The Battle Lake location has been listed as temporarily closed all year.
