Thousands Without Power Between Fergus Falls and Pelican Rapids Early Sunday Afternoon

UPDATE at 1:25 p.m.: Power has been returned.

Fergus Falls, MN – There is a large power outage between Fergus Falls and Pelican Rapids.

At about 12:20 this afternoon (August 24), thousands in Fergus Falls and Pelican Rapids lost power. According to the Otter Tail Power Company outage map, around 4.4 thousand customers are affected in and to the south of Fergus Falls, and another thousand in Pelican Rapids. The Lake Region Electric outage map shows more small outages between the two cities.

Otter Tail Power Company is working to address the outages, and are estimating the power will be restored before 2:30 p.m.
