In this episode of Where to Eat, hosts Zakk Daniels & Dave Bishop roll into Henning to stop at Gateway Pub, a Main Street (Douglas Ave) favorite affectionately known as “the Gateway to the Lakes.”

It’s clean upon walking in the door and hearing the laughter and that this cozy community pub wins hearts with its inviting owner and staff ready to serve made-from-scratch pizzas, hearty appetizers, and fun hometown charm.

Dave Bishop’s thoughts on the pizza, “The pizzas were amazing, and an absolute must!! You can definitely tell why half of their food sales are the pizzas.“

Derek Sidian says, “The wings are phenomenal and the pizza dough is fluffier than any pizza I’ve ever had.”

Zakk Daniels says, “I am firm believer that a unique sauce can make everything elevated, and Brandy’s Sauce does exactly that!”

Brandy’s Sweet & Spicy Burger Habanero bacon jam, cream cheese & pepper jack cheese.

Tater Kegs – 8 giant tots stuffed with the best parts of a loaded baked potato.

Battered Mushrooms – Golden whole mushrooms in a crispy batter & homemade ranch.

Cream Cheese Wontons – 8 fried wontons stuffed with cream cheese & kickin’ bourbon sauce.

Fried Green Beans – Breaded green beans & chipotle ranch

and a couple delicious wings and a variety of sauces
