Dent, MN – A bicyclist is hurt after a crash with a pickup in rural Dent Friday morning (October 10).
State troopers say the pickup was heading west on Highway 108 at around 11 a.m. when it collided with a bicycle heading the same direction. The bicyclist, 37-year-old Rob Brekke of Perham, was taken to Essentia Health in Fargo for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The 41-year-old pickup driver from Erhard was not hurt.
Troopers say Brekke was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The crash is under investigation.
The State Patrol was assisted by the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, Dent and Perham Fire Departments, and Perham Police Department.
