Hawley, MN – A man has been hospitalized after a collision in Hawley Wednesday morning (November 12).
State troopers say that at around 8:50 a.m., a minivan was heading west on Highway 10 near 10th street, and an SUV was turning east, when the two vehicles collided.
The driver of the minivan, 87-year-old Ronald Hiltwein of Hawley, was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The 54-year-old woman driving the SUV was not injured. Troopers say Hiltwein was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
The State Patrol was assisted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Hawley Fire, Hawley HERT, and Sanford EMS.
