Moorhead, MN (KFGO) – State Representative Heather Keeler is running for Congress in Minnesota’s 7th District. Keeler has represented Moorhead in the Minnesota House for the past five years.
The democrat will seek the nomination to challenge republican Representative Michelle Fischbach next November.
Keeler emphasized the need for a representative with lived experience who understands the challenges facing western Minnesota.
“My personal, professional, and political experiences have taught me to stand up for the neighbors who need it the most, while working to find slivers of commonality across the aisle to do the good work for all of us,” Keeler said. “We need a representative in CD-7 who has lived experience and a proven track record of getting things done for greater Minnesota.”
Erik Osberg of Wadena is also in the race as a democrat. Fischbach was first elected in 2020.
