Fergus Falls, MN – A Fergus Falls man was found dead on Tuesday (November 18) in a field that he had been burning.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says deputies, along with the Elizabeth Fire Department and Ringdahl Ambulance, responded to the field east of Elizabeth at around 10 p.m. Deputies say an 84-year-old man had been burning a farm field and was found deceased in that field by a friend.
The body was transported from the scene to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. Deputies say no foul play is suspected. The incident is being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office and the MN Fire Marshall’s Office.
