Perham, MN – A Perham man is in custody for possessing over 350 grams of methamphetamine with the intent to sell and fleeing law enforcement.
Prosecutors say 55-year-old Larry McClendon Jr. was arrested Friday morning (December 26) after an Otter Tail County Deputy attempted to pull him over, but he instead took off, leading to a high-speed chase through Perham. The deputy cancelled the pursuit for safety purposes, but saw the vehicle slow and down and drive into the ditch.

The large bag weighed of 270.5 grams, and the small bags had weighed 58 grams and 24.5 grams, for a total of 353 grams of meth.
McClendon has been charged with 1st degree possession of meth, 1st degree sale of drugs, and fleeing law enforcement. He made his first court appearance Monday morning.
