St. Paul, MN – Minnesota Agriculture Commissioner Thom Petersen says he’s encouraged following a recent meeting with the Mexican Consulate in St. Paul.

Petersen says Mexico remains one of the top markets for Minnesota and U.S. agricultural exports. He says they’re trying to continue to build that relationship with Mexico for corn, ham, and turkey.

They also discussed the US-Mexico-Canada agreement which aims to reduce or eliminate tariffs on most goods traded between the three countries.
