Henning, MN – Otter Tail County Chief Deputy Reed Reinbold has announced his candidacy for Otter Tail County Sheriff.
Reinbold says that Otter Tail County isn’t just where he works — it’s the community he had dedicated his career to serving. “I believe in protecting our citizens through professionalism, preparation, transparency, and fair enforcement of the law,” Reinbold says. “I am running for Sheriff because Otter Tail County deserves strong leadership, clear accountability, and a Sheriff’s Office the public can trust.”
Reinbold has been in Minnesota law enforcement for 23 years, with over 21 years at the Sheriff’s Office. He currently serves as Chief Deputy, SWAT Commander, and Deputy Emergency Manager, overseeing daily operations, staffing, budgeting, training, and modernization efforts.
Otter Tail County Sheriff Barry Fitzgibbons announced last week that he would not be seeking re-election in 2026.
