Glenwood, MN – A Minnesotan is one of three people killed in a mass shooting outside a crowded bar in Austin, Texas, last weekend.
Family members say 30-year-old Jorge Pederson, who grew up in Glenwood and later lived in the Twin Cities, died from a gunshot wound to the head. His mother told the Star Tribune he had moved to Austin just last month for a new job. Pederson was an amateur MMA fighter.
Austin police say the gunman opened fire from an SUV on March 1st, killing three people and injuring more than a dozen others before officers fatally shot the suspect.
