St. Paul, MN – A bill introduced in the Minnesota House could save children across the state from being assaulted in daycare centers, and prosecute those behind the crimes.
Republican Representative Nolan West of Blaine is author of the bill. West says, “Any childcare center that receives state funding through CCAP, Early Learning Scholarships or Great Start Compensation…must install cameras in all infant and toddler rooms and retain the footage for 28 days.”
The bill is called “Harvey’s Law,” named after 11-month-old Harvey Muklebust who died in a daycare center in Savage last year.
