Wadena, MN – Authorities are investigating a deadly house fire in rural Wadena.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says dispatchers received a call of a structure fire northwest of the city limits of Wadena around 3:44 a.m. Monday. A deceased male was found in the residence. The cause of death is under investigation, but deputies say foul play is not suspected.
Fire crews from the Bluffton, Wadena, Sebeka, and New York Mills fire departments extinguished the blaze. Deputies say the home is considered a total loss.
The Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshall’s Office are investigating.
