Ashby, MN – A 9-year-old was hospitalized after being knocked unconscious in a dirt bike accident northeast of Ashby.
At around 3:24 p.m. Sunday, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a nine-year-old boy was unconscious after a dirt bike accident. Prior to EMS arrival, the caller stated that the child was out for about five minutes before he regained consciousness.
The boy was airlifted to a hospital in Fargo, where he is being treated for his injuries. Deputies say he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
Deputies were assisted by the Ashby Fire Department, Ashby Ambulance, and Life Link 3.
