Elbow Lake, MN – The Grant County Sheriff has made a statement regarding heavy law enforcement activity seen on 3rd Avenue South in Elbow Lake at around 9:20 a.m. Thursday.
Sheriff Jennifer Vipond says the activity is related to an ongoing investigation in coordination with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and that there is no threat to the public.
Vipond says, “Because this is an active investigation, we’re not able to share additional details at this time. We understand that a visible law enforcement presence can cause concern, and we want to reassure residents that this was a focused and controlled situation.”
The BCA was assisted by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the West Central Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.
