Fergus Falls, MN – Organizers say Chris Tungseth Day was an overwhelming success.
On Thursday, April 16, four Fergus Falls restaurants, Dairyland, The Viking Café, Don Pablo’s Mexican Restaurant, and Uncle Eddie’s Ice Cream Parlor, participated in Chris Tungseth Day, a fundraiser to raise money for the local American Idol star. For the entire day, 10% of each establishment’s revenue was donated to help Chris continue his American Idol journey.
Transitioning former owner of Dairyland Pat Connolly says that between each of the restaurants’ combined proceeds and additional donations, the people of Fergus Falls raised $6,122.75 for Chris. Pat says Dairyland and Uncle Eddie’s reported it as one of their busiest days ever, The Viking said it was their busiest Thursday ever, and Don Pablo’s compared it to the crowd at their Grand Opening 22 years ago.
Chris’s journey as one of the Top 9 on American Idol continues Monday night on ABC.
