Alexandria Man Arrested on Drug Charges in SWAT Search

Alexandria, MN (Voice of Alexandria) – On Tuesday, the Douglas County SWAT Team executed a high-risk narcotics search warrant at a residence suspected of involvement in drug sales. The West Central Drug and Violent Crime Task Force had been investigating the distribution of methamphetamine. Throughout the investigation, Jeremy Cook, 44, of Alexandria, was identified as a suspect in the sale and possession of narcotics within the city of Alexandria.

During the execution of the search warrant, Cook was taken into custody. Officers seized nearly one pound of methamphetamine, along with a Felony level amount of prescription pills and fentanyl. Cook is currently being held at the Douglas County Jail on charges of two counts of 1st Degree Possession, 3rd Degree Sales, and two counts of 5th Degree Possession of a controlled substance.

The Alexandria Police Department and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the execution of the warrant.
