Fergus Falls, MN – Filing for the Fergus Falls City Council and School Board is open for just a few more days.
So far, the incumbents for Wards 1 and 2 of the city council, Laura Job and Scott Kvamme, are running unopposed. In Ward 3, Al Kremeier and Alex Kutzke have filed, and in Ward 4 there is a three-way race between Scott Rachels, Miranda Lape, and DuWayne Cookman. Three people have filed for the Fergus Falls School Board: John Magnuson, Nicholas Ganoe and Zachary Blumberg.
Council Member Kvamme says that while his campaign would be easier if he ran unopposed, it’s better for the city if there are multiple candidates running for each position. He encourages anyone who wants to help sustain and build the community to run for office.
Local filings close at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28.
