Fergus Falls, MN – Thirty-nine airports throughout Minnesota have been chosen to receive a collective $8 million for fifty-seven improvement projects.

MnDOT says these investments support the continued safety, sustainability, and accessibility of Minnesota’s local public airport system.

Locally, the Fergus Falls Regional Airport will receive $17,500 for an Optimization Planning Study. Other projects around the state include pavement improvement and turf rehabilitation, crack rehabilitation, and other facilities upgrades.

These projects are financed by the State Airports Fund, which is supported primarily through aviation fuel and sales taxes, aircraft property taxes, and registration fees.       `
