Deer Creek, MN – A building storing hay bales in rural Deer Creek went up in flames early Saturday morning.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to a structure fire on 600th Avenue, south of State Highway 210, at around 2:36 a.m. Saturday. Responding personnel arrived on the scene and noted an approximately 45×100 foot structure was fully engulfed in flames. The structure contained multiple hay bales.
Firefighters from Deer Creek, Hewitt, and Wadena assisted in extinguishing the fire. No other buildings were damaged and no injuries were reported.
Deputies say the cause of the fire is unknown, but no foul play is suspected.
