Breckenridge, MN – The Wilkin County Sheriff is being recognized for outstanding service.
Sheriff Tony Harris was recently nominated for an Outstanding Service Award by a resident whose family was positively impacted by his actions during an extremely traumatic and difficult time in their lives.
The resident shared that Sheriff Harris went above and beyond to assist their family and help guide them through a challenging situation. They expressed how much Sheriff Harris’s support and willingness to help made the process more bearable for their family.
They also shared that Sheriff Harris was always there when they needed him taking their calls, answering their questions, and providing reassurance when they needed it most.
In Facebook post, the Sheriff’s Office says that these are the moments that remind us that being a law enforcement officer is about more than enforcing the law. It is about serving people, showing compassion, and being there for your community when they need you most.
