Henning, MN – A Henning woman is in custody for brandishing a bb gun that looked like a real handgun and threatening to shoot someone she met on TikTok.
On Sunday night, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a man and woman had been arguing near the Dollar General in Henning and the woman pulled a gun on the man.
Prosecutors say that the victim met the woman, later identified as 22-year-old Jasmine Altenbrun, on TikTok Live and purchased a one-way bus ticket to Minnesota to see her. The victim told deputies that he got into town about a week prior and that the two had sexual relations while he was there.
The victim said that at some point they began arguing about him not having a return ticket by Saturday and Altenbrun kicked him out of her apartment. She then later asked him to come grab the rest of his things and the argument continued until she pulled out what appeared to the victim to be a black handgun.
A search warrant was executed at Altenbrun’s apartment and she was taken into custody. Altenbrun told deputies that she was pushed by the man and got into an argument before threatening to get her bb gun and shoot him with it. She also said she never took the bb gun out.
Altenbrun made her first court appearance Tuesday morning and has been charged with 2nd degree assault and misdemeanor domestic assault.
