Minnesota Law Enforcement Stepping Up Holiday Patrols

By Dave Bishop Jul 1, 2021 | 11:49 AM

There will be extra patrol cars on Minnesota roads starting today (Thursday) for the long Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Lieutenant Gordon Shank says that’s not just State Patrol, that’s local law enforcement as well, so there will be extra troopers, deputies, police officers that will be working D-W-I enforcement.

Shank says authorities will also be looking for speeders.  Nearly 200 people have died in Minnesota traffic crashes so far this year and 75 were speed-related.
