At approximately 11:28 late Friday night, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office responded to a pedestrian hit by a motor vehicle near the intersection of County Highway 72 and County Highway 145.
Through investigation it was learned that Janet Klosterman, from Mooreton, North Dakota, was crossing in the cross walk and was struck by James Francis, from Richville. Francis was driving north bound on County Highway 72. Klosterman sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital by Henning Ambulance.
Francis was issued a citation for Failure to Yield to a Pedestrian in a Cross Walk.
Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
Assisting the Sheriff’s Office was the MN State Patrol and Battle Lake Rescue.
