Minneapolis, MN – The 2026 Minnesota Girls State High School Basketball Tournament starts today on the U of M campus.
The Class 4-A, 3-A, 2-A, and 1-A quarterfinals are being played at Williams Arena and the Maturi Pavilion. Three of last year’s four defending champions are back with a shot to repeat: Hopkins, Benilde-St. Margaret’s, and Providence Academy.
The Hillcrest Comets will open play tomorrow (March 12) at the Maturi Pavilion against the New Richland-H-E-G Panthers.
