Fergus Falls, MN – On Friday, May 1, Otter Tail Social Security Disability Advocates celebrated the move into their new office on Lincoln Avenue with a Fergus Falls Area Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Otter Tail Social Security Disability Advocates provides dedicated, local support to individuals applying for SSDI or SSI benefits. Advocate Alex Kutzke said, “This has been a pleasant surprise; moving here and getting this set up. Within this first year I’ve been able to help several people get their benefits already. Hopefully with this next year, we’ll be able to keep helping people and taking on new clients. And hopefully keep growing here in Fergus Falls.”
At the ceremony, Alex and his wife Natasha, who serves as Administrative Assistant and Marketing Coordinator, invited members of the community to check out their new office, and learn about what they do for people trying to navigate the Social Security system.
Chamber President Lisa Workman says applying for social security disability benefits is kind of like buying a home, “If you think about how difficult it is the first time you buy a house, and you’re like, “What? We have to do that, we have all these different things we have to do?” Well he (Alex) is like your guide in getting through social security disability.”
