Fergus Falls, MN – The circus has come to town! On Tuesday and Wednesday, the Birak Shrine Circus returns to the West Otter Tail County Fairgrounds for the 70th year.
Jason Schuetzle with the Lakes Area Birak Shrine Club says that he loves seeing the kids get excited when the circus comes around, “Watching them get out of the cars and, they just want to bolt for that front door and get in there, get a good seat. They see the animals outside before they start and they just get giddy. That is awesome.”
Schuetzle says the club just wants to do its part in entertaining people in the area, “Fergus Falls has had a lot of great events this summer,” he said. “We had a great kick-off to summer, we had a great Chris (Tungseth) concert, we had a great couple parades. We’d like to cap-off and show off our circus to the people of Fergus and say, ‘Hey, we’ve been here 70 years, come check us out.'”
The Birak Shrine Circus will have one performance at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and two on Wednesday at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the gate or at spectacularcircus.com.
