Ashby, MN – A man was hospitalized following a head-on collision with a medium-duty truck just north of the Otter Tail and Douglas County border.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says that just after noon on Wednesday, a pickup was heading south on 395th Avenue and a medium-duty Freightliner was heading north, and the two vehicles collided halfway up a hill on a gravel road head-on.
Deputies say the driver of the pickup, a 27-year-old man from Ashby, was taken to Lake Region Hospital by Ashby Ambulance for treatment of some minor injuries and a possible head injury. The driver of the Freightliner was not hurt. Both vehicles were seriously damaged in the crash.
The accident is under investigation.
