Washington, D.C. (Learfield) – Federal agents have searched the Washington, D.C., home of Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.
The Department of Justice says today’s search was part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation but has not released further details. Multiple news sources are reporting the search was related to an investigation into Omar’s immigration paperwork, though that has not been officially confirmed.
The search comes amid renewed scrutiny of Omar by Trump administration officials. Omar represents Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District, which includes Minneapolis and nearby suburbs.
