Pelican Rapids, MN – A Fergus Falls man has been charged for threats of violence after allegedly shooting out a window on a woman’s car in Pelican Rapids.

Prosecutors say Pelican Rapids police first responded to a report of two men fighting at around 3:38 p.m. Saturday, October 24. Before police arrived, one of the men, 26-year-old Aldin Saric of Fergus Falls, left the scene. Officers spoke with the other man, who said that Saric entered the apartment and immediately started trying to hit him in the face and yelling at him to “Pay me my Money!”

The man said Saric was upset because there is a restitution order for him to pay Saric for a vehicle he crashed. He said he tried to push Saric away, but Saric kept trying to fight. The owner of the apartment told the men to take it outside, and Saric drove away in a black Cadillac Escalade.

At 3:58 p.m., officers responded to another call regarding shots being fired at a vehicle. Law enforcement learned through a translator that the woman was sitting in the front passenger seat of her vehicle when Saric approached yelling “where is your son, he owes me money.” She said he then went to the back of the vehicle and shot out a window. She stated she did not see a gun. Court documents say Saric then stated he was going to get a gun and kill her son and left in a Cadillac Escalade.

Saric was located about 20 minutes later in the city of Fergus Falls and was taken into custody. He has been charged with threats of violence, 4th degree damage to property, and two counts of 5th degree assault.
