Ashby, MN – Lanes reopened Tuesday, October 14, on westbound Interstate 94 between Ashby and Dalton, as crews wrap up the bridge replacement at the Pelican Creek, just west of the County Road 4 overpass bridge. Traffic has been head-to-head through the project area since May.
MnDOT says drivers will encounter lane closures in both directions while crews remove traffic control devices and finish other miscellaneous clean up. All lanes are expected to reopen by the end of October.
The two-year construction project included replacing the existing metal culverts at the Pelican Creek with span beam bridges. Crews replaced the eastbound bridge in 2024, and returned this year to construct the westbound bridge.
