Fergus Falls, MN – The Fergus Falls Fire Department will be conducting live fire training exercises tonight, August 24, in the 23000 block of County Highway 111 – about half a mile outside of city limits.
The training will start at 5:30 PM and involves numerous fire scenarios within a house, with an eventual burndown of the structure. This training burn is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to maintain readiness, enhance firefighter skills, and ensure effective emergency response. The department has several mutual aid fire departments participating in the training as well.
Residents in the area will see smoke and fire activity during the training period. The site will be closely managed by trained personnel, following necessary permitting and safety procedures.
There will be several water tenders traveling on County Highway 111 to Connell Drive, where water is being shuttled from.
The Fire Department says it appreciates the community’s cooperation and understanding as they complete this important training.
