They have no kids but treat their west highland terrier like actual offspring. Ox began his radio career in 1991 as a rock DJ in Fergus Falls and signed on as News Director with Leighton Broadcasting’s KDLM in Detroit Lakes in 1998. He came to KNSI in St. Cloud in 2001 starting “Hot Talk with the Ox” as a three-hour morning talk show covering politics and local current events with a humorous slant. His current show, Ox in the Afternoon weekdays from 2p-to-5p, adds the elements of good old-fashioned Central Minnesota afternoon fun and remote, on-location broadcasts from the region and world. The Ox is well known in St.Paul and Washington, featuring congressmen and senators from all over the state and country as frequent show guests. Ox’s humor, sincerity, and personality build new friendships with every broadcast.
